February: Painting the Quiet Before Spring

A time for friendship, care, and moving slowly together.

2 min read

February is a soft, in-between month.
Not quite winter, not yet spring.
A pause — where friendship matters, care feels closer, and moving slowly together feels just right.

It’s a month that doesn’t ask us to rush forward.
Instead, it invites us to listen, to soften, and to stay with what is still quietly forming beneath the surface.

That is the spirit of this workshop.

We’ll work with gentle colour blending and paint imagined tulips.
Not the kind you see in gardens, but the ones that exist just before spring shows itself — still underground, still quiet, full of promise.

There’s no need to make them realistic.
The focus is on letting colours meet on paper, watching what happens, and allowing the painting to unfold at its own pace.

The session is slow and forgiving.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to “know how to paint”. You only need to arrive as you are.

We’ll paint side by side in a calm space.
People often arrive a little tense and leave a little softer — surprised by what their hands created, and by how kind the process felt.

February doesn’t ask much from us.
Neither does this workshop.

It’s simply an invitation to pause, imagine, and bring a bit of tenderness onto paper — together.
