Elokuu — the Finnish word for August — means harvest month. Before the calendar fills back up, before the slow season hands the year back to the busy one, we're spending two hours gathering what the summer actually gave us.

You're not abandoning the calm you found in July. You're carrying it with you — so September doesn't have to start from zero.

This month, we're painting sunflowers — upright, sturdy, unapologetic about taking up space. One of our followers told us they're her favourite flower. So that's what we're painting.
